Cuddle Up With a Rainbow Whale!

These adorable Zoo pillows from Spacify have great embroidered and appliqued details.  The colors are bright and perfect for either a boy or a girl, or for just tossing on the living room couch for a little pop of color.  I think every home needs a stuffed whale!

Currently Loving: Xenia Taler

I love these Xenia Taler prints of birds perching on oddly geometric red and blue trees  available at Urban Outfitters.  I thought they would be a great idea for my friend's nursery, but the more I look at them, the cuter they get.

Currently Loving: Nurseryworks

So new parents spend a lot of time awake at night trying to get a newborn to sleep and this Goodnigt Glider from Nurseryworks at Mod Decor would be a great way to do the job.  It has the cushioning of an armchair, but it's on a gliding wooden base that is sleeker than the traditional glider.

Babies are Rocking Out in Style!

I love this Coco Stylewood Baby Lounger from Bloom at BabyGeared.  It's simple in design, but still looks wicked comfy for your baby.   And, it comes in two different wood tones, with a couple different cushion colors.

Wish upon a star...

One of my friends recently found out she is pregnant, so I've got adorably cool baby on the mind.  This mobile from theStarcraft's Etsy shop is something I'm hoping to get her if it's a girl.  I love the bright colors with just a little bit of sparkle to really catch the baby's eye.  Plus, it kind of reminds me of a quilting square, so I might have to get one for inspiration in my quilting space.

Currently Loving: Ferm Living

These bright wallpapers from Ferm Living at 2Modern are a great combination of rich, saturated colors and an earthy, natural feel.  I love the contrast of white on the teal of the Family Tree wallpaper, but the Wildflower wallpaper is a but more subtle.  While you could just put it up on one wall or even just a strip or two, doing a whole room or a hallway would have a real impact.

Purple Mountains' Majesty...

This couch, for lack of a better word, is called Misfits by Ron Arad and can be found at Moroso.  It's more mismatched topographical puzzle pieces than couch.  There are a few differently shaped squares, some with backs, some with corners, some just flat, that you can mix and match to make any piece of living room furniture that you desire.  I personally like the big chaise lounge configuration; it just looks perfect to melt into with a good book.

Tables with plenty of elbow room...

I love these great tables from Lorimer Antiques.  While I don't think they're actually antiques, it looks like they use salvaged wood to get that look.  They're built very simply, but have a great strong, clean look.  And there;s plenty of room to invite everyone to dinner.

Currently Loving: JMJ Studio

These great paintings from JMJ Studio use texture and Braille writing along with amazingly bright colors.  The top painting spells out "Hope" and the bottom says "Faith." Their Etsy shop has a lot of different finds and is great for just looking through.

Fatboy? Who you callin' Fatboy?

I had one bean bag chair when I was a kid.  It was plastic and purple and one of the seams ripped, little styrofoam beads got tracked all over the house, and I never got another bean bag chair.  But these ones from Fatboy come in a variety of fabrics, including Marimekko.  Plus, they're super reinforced and you can order refills so they always stay like new.  Besides, they looks super comfortable.

A Well Travelled Dinner Party

These plates from notNeutral feature street maps from every city that I want to visit.  It would be cool to get one for every trip you take and then complete the set.  Or you could just get the entire collection and pretend.

Belly up to the bar...

These barstools from Spacify have awesome lines and really different shapes.  The Pinch Barstool looks earthy and upscale with the wood grain of the seat.  And the Matrix Barstool uses the least amount of materials that gives it a really airy look.

Currently Loving: NotNeutral

These punched metal lanterns from notNeutral are a great way to bring candle light into a house in a completely new way.  When lit, they give off a beautiful design on table tops and walls, and almost create their own doilies.

Currently Loving: Amy Giacomelli

Amy Giacomelli's paintings at her Etsy store are really beautiful.  I love these bright landscapes, and breaking up the picture into three sections makes it easy to hang it on different sized rooms.

This desk goes perfect with a martini!

I completely fell in love with this desk yesterday at Pottery Barn.  It's painted an awesome olivey-green color to such a smooth almost waxy finish.  And it has a huge drawer that's already partitioned into a bunch of different sections, perfect for hiding all the clutter on your desk.

Currently Loving: Emma Jeffs

I love these subtle window stickers from Emma Jeffs  at Design Public for a change in a bathroom or bedroom window.  It still lets enough light in, but it's not as harsh, and gives you some privacy.

Loving Convertible Furniture!

These Tripp Trapp chairs from Stokke are a great alternative to the standard white plastic high chairs every parent seems to get stuck with when they have a child.  Not only do they let your kids eat at the table with your family instead of from their own tray, as your kids get bigger, you can adjust the seat and foot rest to be a booster seat or a step stool.

Gone Fishin'

I'd love to hang this little fish from Wallter on my wall, though I can't decide whether I like it all together or spread out throughout a room.  Either way, it has some interesting colors in a really fun shape.

I love a wall pocket!

I love this Uten.Silo Storage System from Vitra Designs by Dorothee Becker.  It's a great way to keep everything at hand, but still at least appear organized.  And I love that each pocket has it's own special shape.

Stuff a cork in it!

I love these great colors of cork flooring from BlackRiver Flooring.  The lighter one is called Baltic Cream.  The darker, more marbled one is called Lunar, and it really looks like stone mined off the moon.  I love the idea of using the different colors to create a quilted or mosaic design.

Currently Loving: Green Tea Designs

This Mizuya wall unit from Green Tea Design is perfect for so many rooms.  It provides a lot of different storage spaces, and in a number of different sizes, finishes, and hardware.  Plus, it makes my inner compulsive organizer completely happy.
