I've decided that I need a Salt Pig like this one from Crate and Barrel. No particular reason for this recent decision except the joy of hearing guests ask that someone "please pass the salt pig."

Loving: Coconut Laquerware Bowls

I love the contrast of the natural brown interior and the bright exteriors in these Coconut Laquerware Bowls from Branch. They seem like the perfect size to set everything up when you're cooking or to use as little storage bowls.

Loving: Open Air Contemporary Cutlery Set

I love the look of this Open Air Cutlery Set from Dutch By Design. I don't know how it would be to eat with, but it would make a really cool place setting.

Loving: Night Carafe

So, I don't think I would pay this much for a simple carafe, but this one from Design Within Reach is really pretty!

Loving: Knitware Coasters

I love all the different textures on these Knitware Coasters from Alyssa Ettinger's Etsy shop. Of course, as a knitter, I do have a special place in my heart for anything knitted.

Loving: Triton Serving Platter

This Triton Serving Platter from Exclusively Home is really cool but kind of spooky. Just imagine being the last person to take food off this dish and realize there's a face looking at you.

Loving: Lace Doily Serving Plate

I love little things that look delicate but I usually would just break them or stain them and pretty much just ruin them after a couple uses. But these Lace Doily Serving Dishes from FoxAnd Clover's Etsy shop just look dainty but can stand up to the abuse of getting used a lot.

Loving: The Drop Table

The top of this Drop Table from Structured Green at Velocity is absolutely beautiful. I love all the different colored woods especially since the lighter wood seems to separate each one so they really stand out.

Loving: Newton Cream and Sugar Dish

This Newton cream and sugar dish in gold from Tonfisk Design at the Finnish Design Shop is really pretty and really cool. You put the cream in the bottom and sugar in the dish on top and when you pour the cream out, the sugar dish on top tilts so the sugar doesn't go everywhere. And it's lined with gold which makes the simple white dish really luxe.

Loving: "Kitchen" Tea Towel

I've decided that since I'm staying at home and doing the whole Mom thing, I need to really do the domestic thing to the extreme. Of course, this means having decorative towels like this "Kitchen" Tea Towel from Branch around the kitchen. I completely remember that when I was a kid, whenever you dried your hands, it was on the towel draped over the stove handle. So I have to start my towel collection soon.

Loving: Nick Table

I love the smoothness of this Nick Table from Blu Dot at Design Public.  It's a really beautiful dark color, but all of the raw edges are lighter so it's not too much. 

Loving: Glass Milk Jug

I love the idea of turning something as childish and throw away as a milk carton into something that looks really stylish and is permanent.  This little Glass Milk Jug from Graham and Green would be really fun to serve milk from at a brunch, or even just for yourself in the morning. 

Loving: Irezumi Dishes

These tattoo-inspired Irezumi Dishes from Ink Dish at Velocity are really cool.  The coloring reminds me of the antique blue dishes my mother collects, but the designs are completely new.

Loving: Ice Candle Lantern

This Ice Candle Lantern from Dutch by Design is really cool.  You use the mould to make an ice cylinder and then you put a candle in the middle of it.  When you light the candle, it starts to illuminate all the patterns in the ice and melts the ice slowly, so the light doesn't just flicker, it changes as the ice thins out.

Drinking from: Roost Meadow Glassware

These Meadow glasses from Roost at Velocity are really beautiful, they're the kind of thing that looks like you could do it yourself, but they've done it so much better.  They would be perfect for an outdoor party.

Loving: Corona Drinking Glasses

These Corona glasses from NickPaul's Etsy shop are perfect for a summer cookout, and the 6-pack idea is pretty clever.  You can get some real Corona's for the party, but those not imbibing (like this prego chicky) could just pour something fruity into these glasses and not feel left out.  

Loving: Hakusan Bird Chopstick Rest

These Chopstick Rests from Emmo Home make me want to serve more Asian food in my home, just so I can use them.  They're really delicate and a great way to spruce up a small table space.

Loving: Leaf Dishes

These leaf dishes from Graham and Green are really fun.  They're really simple and rustic because of the leaf design, but the silver makes it very luxe.  

Loving: Orla Kiely Dinnerware

I'm completely in love with just about everything from Orla Kiely, I currently own a set of notepads that are just too pretty to write in.  But now Target's coming out with Orla Kiely dishes so now I can actually use them and replace the odd mug that breaks instead of buying a set and just looking at it through a glass cabinet.  

Loving: TRELLIS Rack System

I love the simplicity of this wine rack from Modern Cellar at 2Modern.  I would hang a couple of them throughout a room and search out good wines with fun labels to display like artwork.
