Loving: Bamboo Tiles

These Kimono tiles from Anchor Bay Tile are made from taking slices of bamboo and mounting them in resin.  Each piece is unique in color, shape and texture, making them a focal point in any room.  I think they'd make a really interesting new surface for a desk or coffee table.

Stuff a cork in it!

I love these great colors of cork flooring from BlackRiver Flooring.  The lighter one is called Baltic Cream.  The darker, more marbled one is called Lunar, and it really looks like stone mined off the moon.  I love the idea of using the different colors to create a quilted or mosaic design.

Currently Loving: Ann Sacks

These hand painted tiles from Ann Sacks called Iznik are made in Turkey.  I love the bold colors and patterns.  These would look great as a single stripe in a kitchen, or as an entire wall in a bathroom.

Pop the Cork and Shower!

I love the idea of using cork instead of more traditional wood flooring.  The great thing about cork, is that it has a little bit more cushion than hard wood and it has a really interesting texture.

The Showercork from Sustainable Flooring comes in sheets of circles that are the leftovers from making wine corks, and they look like they apply very easily.  Plus, who wouldn't want to be reminded of a great bottle of wine every time you took a shower?
