Playing with: Marble Runs

I used to love the giant Marble Works sets that we had as kids, but this one is even cooler.  This set, from Inquisitive Kid can be put together any way you want, and you can buy a bunch of different sets and go really crazy.

Sitting in: Hotel 21 Grand Suite Armchair

This Armchair from Unica Home is absolutely crazy.  I don't know where I could possibly put it, and it probably wouldn't fit into anyone's design style, but it's way too much fun!  

Drinking from: Roost Meadow Glassware

These Meadow glasses from Roost at Velocity are really beautiful, they're the kind of thing that looks like you could do it yourself, but they've done it so much better.  They would be perfect for an outdoor party.

Staring at: Kitties

How adorable and a little creepy is this Kitties print from Kyle Pellet at Supermarket HQ.  They kind of look like strange kitty octopus hybrids, but they're so happy that it's so cute.  

Carrying around: Scout Bag

I love this Scout bag from Petunia Pickle Bottom at 2Modern. It's nice and subtle, so you don't have to look like you're carrying around everything you might need to deal with poop. And it's manly enough that dad can just grab it and go without transferring everything from the frilly bag to the dad bag.

Sitting on: Cortez Sectional Sofa

This Cortez sofa from the Furniture Loft is perfect for lounging around.  You can rearrange everything depending on whether you want to just sit and watch TV, put your feet up, or just lay around all day with a book.  Plus, the color's pretty awesome.

Loving: Dada Clock

I love this Dada Clock from Artecnica.  It's a clock that's been encased in resin, like it's been trapped in an aqua bubble.  I would love to get one of these kinds of clocks since I no longer need to actually wake up at a particular hour, but it still has an alarm clock feature just in case.

Loving: Favorite Things Poster

How adorable is this poster from Branch?  It's perfect for a baby's room, but the illustrations aren't baby-ish, so kids might never grow out of it.  

Loving: Corona Drinking Glasses

These Corona glasses from NickPaul's Etsy shop are perfect for a summer cookout, and the 6-pack idea is pretty clever.  You can get some real Corona's for the party, but those not imbibing (like this prego chicky) could just pour something fruity into these glasses and not feel left out.  

Loving: Bag of Money

The Bag of Money from Three Potato Four would be really fun to just use around the house.  You could fill it with something heavy and use it as a doorstop.  Or you can bring it to the grocery store and use it for produce.  

Loving: Orient Express Furniture

I love this trunk inspired furniture from Graham and Green.  It's really quirky and a great change from the normal bedroom furniture.  Plus, the next time you move, you can just roll them out the door.

Sleeping under: West Lake Duvet Set

I love the bright cobalt in this West Lake Duvet set from Blissliving.  The white spaces keep it from being too severe, and some colorful pillows would probably make it really fun.  

Loving: Flights of Fancy Mobile

Since the walls in our baby room are a bright blue, we were kind of forced to have a bright happy color scheme.  This bird mobile from Feel More Human is absolutely perfect.  It's still cute enough for a baby, but the birds are just wacky enough to fit into the decor.

Sending: Animal Postcards

These little postcards from the MoMA Store actually make me want to start sending real mail again.  They mail flat, but they give the person you send it to a little project to put it together and read your message.  They would be great to use as an invitation or announcement.

Sitting on: Miss Lacy Chair

I love the swirly design on these Miss Lacy Chair by Philippe Starck at Unica Home.  They look pretty comfy too, but really, they're so pretty it really wouldn't matter.  I'd find somewhere in the house for them just to be art.

Loving: Cynthia Chiffonier

Now, I would personally just call this an armoire, but the Pottery Barn calls it the Cynthia Chiffonier.  Either way, it's a really nice alternative to the usual dresser, though I would have to call it a "chiffonier" when anyone asks.

Loving: Hakusan Bird Chopstick Rest

These Chopstick Rests from Emmo Home make me want to serve more Asian food in my home, just so I can use them.  They're really delicate and a great way to spruce up a small table space.

Playing with: DwellStudio Mind Blocks

These Mind Blocks from DwellStudio at Velocity are pretty cool.  They're in fun shapes that make your baby think a little bit more when they're playing.  And since they're fabric blocks, you can leave them lying around and don't have to worry about stepping on pointy toys in the middle of the night.
