So when I was little I got it in my mind to make my mom a pair of slippers as a surprise. So I found some nice green fabric, traced my mom's shoes right in the middle of it, and cut them out. A little glue and some cotton balls later I gave them to my mom only to have her realize I'd cut up the fabric she'd just bought to make a new skirt for herself. These Slippers from Pia Wallen at Velocity remind me exactly of those slippers, though without the glued on cotton balls.
